Research, conducted by scientists in Turkey, using a specially prepared form of nanosilver was found to be an effective antimicrobial against E.coli and Candida albicans as well as the following additional pathogenic microorganisms: S.aureus, P.aeruginos, B.subtili, S.typhimurium, K.pneumonia.

NASA uses a form of Ionic Silver to disinfect the water system on board spacecraft. They decided to test silver in ionic form after finding that “Microbial growth is common on wetted surfaces in spacecraft environmental control and life support systems despite the use of chemical and physical disinfection methods.”
As a result of research, they now use silver as they found that both the silver ions in water and on metal surfaces were effective in controlling bacterial growth:
silver is an effective antimicrobial through multiple pathways. … the results indicate that 0.4 mg/L ionic silver is an effective biocide against many bacteria and that a pre-passivation of metal surfaces with silver can provide additional microbial control

Seasickness—debilitating dizziness and nausea—from the rocking motion triggered by boats and ships can be avoided by applying mild electricity to the head. The application will also relieve suffering from motion sickness as a result of long trips by airplane, bus, car, or train.
The research, originally published in 2015 in the medical journal Neurology, used the increasingly popular transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to treat motion sickness. A major advantage for the use of electricity is the absence of any apparent side effects.

Scientists are conducting research to apply microcurrents to improve health—especially by applying the current to the vagus nerve. The vagus is the major highway of the nervous system with branches that penetrate most organs including the heart and stomach. Researchers at the University of Leeds in the UK are applying the microcurrents non-invasively by attaching electrodes to the tragus, an area of the outer ear to reach the vagus nerve.
One of the researchers, professor Jim Deuchars says,

Low intensity electric fields called “Tumor Treating Fields” were revealed to be effective even with cancers that recur after conventional treatments. During a TEDMED talk in October 2011, Bill Doyle explained the device is portable as connections placed on the skin allow the patient to go about daily activities.

A group of scientists published study results using a pulsed magnetic field on mice innoculated with cancer cells for tumor growth. The pulsd magnetic field was generated by a Helmholtz coil with a weak direct current (DC) output of only 0.094 Teslas which is equivalent to 940 gauss. Using a unique in vivo imaging system, the researchers were able to view tumor progression in real time.
This study indicates the importance of consistent and repeated use of a pulsed magnetic field over a long enough period of time for results.
The scientists summed up stating:
“Our results showed that exposure of the mice to magnetic fields for 360 min daily for as long as 4 wk suppressed tumor growth. … Our findings support further exploration of the potential of magnetic fields in cancer therapeutics, either as adjunct or primary therapy.”

Discovery of yet another function in the body that is controlled electrically is heralded as it has promise to treat cancer. The researchers discovered a “molecular switch” that controls cell growth causes cancer when it malfunctions. The scientists are based at the University of Texas in the USA.
